Kissel and Wilson named Brock Athletes of the Week

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University Male and Female Athletes of the Week for the week ending October 9th are men's baseball player Matt Kissel (Whitby, Ont.) and women's rugby player Hannah Wilson (Trenton, Ont.).

Kissel, a fourth year Sport Management major, helped lead the Brock baseball team to a perfect 7-0 record this past week as they clinched first place overall in the OUA with a 15-6 record.

In seven games, Kissel batted .560 going 14-for-25 with 11 RBI, two doubles and a homerun for a .760 slugging percentage. Versus Toronto Saturday, he became the only OUA player this season to record five hits in a game going 5-for-5 with three RBI. In the last game of the season, with first place on the line versus Western, Kissel drove in the game winning run.

Wilson, a first year Physical Education major, helped lead the Brock women's rugby team to a 44-0 victory over the Laurier Golden Hawks this past week securing them third place in the Shiels Division with a 2-3 overall record. Versus Laurier, the standout scrum half registered a season high two trys for 10 points.
