Brock University Athletics offers the No. 1 sports camp program in the Niagara Region for kids ages 5-18.
The Badgers provide a number of different camps beginning with Sports School for nine weeks as well as individual sports camps for hockey, basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball, fencing, rowing and cheerleading.
Run by some of the top University coaches in Canada, Brock offers a wide variety of camps that cater to campers of all skills and ages. The coaches stress that the "Badger Camps" experience should be one that helps develop the campers sports and life skills while making sure that they are having a fun and enjoyable week!

Brock Boys & Girls Hockey Camps
The Brock boys and girls hockey camp continues to be the top summer hockey camp offered in the region to players 7-14 under the leadership of Badgers head coach Murray Nystrom. Nystrom, a former CIS Coach of the Year, continues to provide top end instruction to youth with a strong instructor:player ratio. The majority of his staff includes current Badger players who played Major Junior in the Canadian Hockey League.
"Over the 13 years we have been offering our camps we have learned that one of the crucial elements that allows us to help players move forward in their development is the significant amount of one on one coaching situations that we create," said head coach Murray Nystrom. "Our 1:4 instructor:player ratio guarantees a significant amount of interaction between the player and coach."

The Brock girls hockey camps continue to grow each year. The Brock women's hockey program is coming off their best season in school history which saw first year head coach Jim Denham be named the OUA and CIS Coach of the Year. The different girl's camps Brock offers range from early skill development through to a high performance conditioning program for those players playing at a competitive level.
"Our varsity players and coaches ensure that each individual will have a fun and positive experience while improving their overall skills," said head coacvh Jim Denham.

Brock Boys Basketball Camp
The Brock boys basketball camp, one of the longest running camps in the region, continues to provide great fundamental and skill instruction to ages 6-18. Brock head coach Brad Rootes, a local star and one of the top players in Brock's 44-year history, has assembled one of the top coaching staffs in the country which includes longtime local legend Brian Mulligan, former National Team Player Greg Newton and former Brock captain Joel Whitty.
"The Brock boys basketball camp stresses FUNdamentals. We have coaches at each level right from elementary school basketball all the way to the pro ranks of the NBA, to help your son develop his skills with the appropriate coaching. We also make sure the camp is FUN for the campers by having games and competitions throughout the week, swimming sessions, NBA 2K11 video game station, movie time, a counsellor dunk competition and an all star game for each division versus their counsellors. What really sets us apart though is the engagement and interaction between our camp staff and the campers. Our staff is made up primarily of the Brock men's basketball coaches and players who all know the importance and positive influence that a counsellor can have on a campers experience."

Brock Girls Basketball Camp
The Brock girls basketball camp, also one of the longest running summer basketball camps in Niagara, provides strong fundamental and skill development to ages 8-16. Brock head coach Si Khounviseth has had some great success in his young career at Brock. Throughout his coaching career he has being able to develop players from a young age through to the university and college ranks.
"I believe the camp experience needs to be both fun and at the same time kids learn to play the game of basketball. I am a strong advocate for teaching skills development and allowing kids the opportunity to learn while having fun. I truly believe what makes us unique is our coaching staff are compromised of the coaches at Brock and our players are a great role model for young aspiring female athletes."

Brock Boys & Girls Volleyball Camp
The Brock women's volleyball program, coached by Dale Melnick, has had four consecutive winning seasons, the most in school history. Last year the Badgers had two OUA All-Stars, highlighted by National Team invitee Rachel Roorda and Ontario U19 provincial team player Lauren Stirling.
"In order to grow the sport of volleyball it is important for us to expose the top volleyball players in Ontario to the youth in Niagara Region," said Melnick. "Our coaches and student-athletes work hard to pass along their knowledge of the game in a fun and safe environment."

Brock Boys & Girls Soccer Camp
The Brock boys and girls soccer camp is run by Brock women's coach John Durish and men's coach Bill Millar, two of the top soccer coaches in Niagara Region. The camp staff is made up primarily of Brock men's and women's soccer players who are important role models in our community.
"The campers will be taught the basic fundamentals of soccer through a series of drills followed by small sided games," said head coach John Durish. "Our certified instructors will provide campers with a fun-learning camp atmosphere where they will enjoy the game of soccer."

Brock Boys & Girls Fencing Camp
The Brock fencing camp is a perfect experience for anyone who has dreamt of being a Jedi, Zorro or Musketeer. The camp provides youth ages 7-15 years everything from the fundamental fencing skills to a complete competitive experience. As some simple benefits, fencing can help improve motor skills, social and perceptual growth, self discipline, self confidence and self responsibility.
“I’m confident we are providing one of the best introductory fencing camp experiences in Canada," said head coach Tim Stang. "Our nationally certified coaches have been taught by some of the world’s best international coaches, and have vast experience working with youth in providing a completely fun active learning environment.”

Brock Boys & Girls Rowing Camp
Rowing Camp is for any student between the ages of 13 and 19 interested in learning the basics of sculling or improving their skills. The Brock Rowing School is the oldest rowing school in Canada with expert instructors at a world class facility. We keep a low ratio of athletes to coaches to insure everyone is grouped based on skill level from beginner to expert. The camp participants will use the same top quality racing equipment the varsity athletes use and will have the opportunity to row in singles, doubles or quads.
"There is nothing better than being out on the water on a beautiful summer day. Its like being up at a cottage right in the city. There are two rows per day with snack and video review of how the participants are rowing each morning."
