
ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University men's and women's swim teams hosted the Badger Invitational Saturday at the Eleanor Misener Aquatics Centre.
Placing first overall for the Brock women were
Rachel Nogard in the 200m IM (2:32.35) and
Brittany Lewis in the 200m Breaststroke (2:52.80). Nogard also placed third in the 200m Freestyle (2:17.21).
Cristina Macedo (200m Breaststroke -Â 3:06.88),
Rachel Patterson (1500m Freestyle -Â 19:33.41) and
Jaclyn Edwards (200m IM - 2:32.52) all finished second. Edwards was also fourth in the 200m Backstroke (2:31.03).Â
Abigael Layton and
Laura Perry both had two two third place finishes. Layton was third in the 100m Backstroke (1:12.54) and 50m Backstroke (33.16), while Perry took home bronze in the 200m Backstroke (2:28.38) and 100m Breaststroke (1:23.21).
Rounding out the Badgers top finishers were
Freya Lewis (3rd - 200 IM - 2:41.98 & 4th - 100m Breaststroke - 1:23.59) and
Riverlee Hunt (4th -Â 200m Freestyle (2:21.46). Â
For the Brock men,
Charles Kim and
Curtis Li both took home two top three finishes. Kim was first overall in the 200m Breaststroke (2:27.66) and third in the 50m Butterfly (27.91). Li placed second in both the 200m Breaststroke (2:27.91) and 50m Breaststroke (30.25).
