
ST. CATHARINES, ON - The Brock University men's lacrosse team defeated the Laurentian Voyageurs by the score of 13-7 Saturday afternoon at Homecoming.
The two teams were tied 2-2 after 20 minutes and Brock held a 6-4 at the half.
With six minutes left in the third, Laurentian cut the Brock lead to 8-6. Brock's offense answered scoring five of the next six goals on route to their second conference victory.
The Badgers were led by All-CanadianÂ
Brandon Slade (Orangeville, ON) who had a six-point afternoon adding two goals and four assists.
Brandon Staal (Courtice, ON) registered three goals and two assists. Nick Rybka (Bolton, ON) and
Kyle Pedwell (St. Catharines, ON) both collected natural hat tricks while
Matthew Bourassa (Cornwall, ON) chipped in with two goals.
Nico Beaudoin (Welland, ON) rounded out the scoring adding four assists.
Scoring for the Voyageurs was Adam Elinski (2G), Sam Postma (2G), Mike Kussman (2G) and Austin Bouchard (1G)
In goal,
Josh Wood (Welland, ON) recorded 10 saves for the victory. Laurentian starter Ian Walters recorded 12 saves in the loss.Â
The Badgers next action is Sunday afternoon when they take on the Guelph Gryphons on the road.
