ST. CATHARINES, ON - Brock Sports is pleased to announce the addition of two-sport athlete Justin Brack (Orangeville, ON). He will suit up this fall as a member of the Brock men's hockey and lacrosse teams.

"Anytime we can work with the Niagara Ice Dogs so players remain in our region to pursue their university degree is a benefit to all," said Brock men's hockey head coach Murray Nystrom. "Ice Dogs head coach Dave Bell really sold me on Justin's maturity, leadership in the dressing room and his commitment to succeed."

"Anybody who watched the Dogs play this year witnessed Justin's impact to their team.  He makes his teammates better."

Brack, a 5-foot-11, 203 pound forward, played four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League from 2013-2017 as a member of the Owen Sound Attack and Niagara Ice Dogs. He played in 258 career OHL games registering 22 goals and 44 assists for 66 points along with 218 penalty minutes.

"I got traded to the Niagara Ice Dogs this year and loved the area," said Justin Brack. "My best friends from my hometown play on the lacrosse team, I have played both sports my whole life and I'm excited to have the opportunity to play both sports for the Badgers. I'm excited for the next chapter in life and pursuing a degree from Brock. I also know Connor Brown, and it will be cool to have two more multi-sport athletes at the school."

In lacrosse, Brack played one season for the Orangeville Northmen Jr. A (2015) and last season was a member of the 2016 Founder Cup Champion Orangeville Jr. B Northmen. In two seasons, he registered eight goals and 16 assists for 24 points in 26 games while collecting 38 penalty minutes.

"Again, we wanted to improve our depth at the forward position and bring in leaders Our staff, led by head scout Greg Cappellaro, has done a fantastic job of identifying the right people and players we need for our team to play hockey in March," said Nystrom. "Justin's contribution to Brock University as a two sport athlete will be significant, I think it is great that we are able to make this work successfully."
