The Brock University swim team had two competitors at the USPORTS Swimming National Championships which were hosted by the University of Toronto this weekend.

Gokhan Bozyigit competed in three events at the national championships. The Badgers lone points of the event came in the 400m Freestyle where Bozyigit placed 16th overall in a time of 4:00.47. He also finished 24th in the 200m Fly (2:04.71) and 25th in the 1500m Freestyle (15:58.22).

Maggie Smith, who was making her debut at Nationals, competed in four different events with her top finish being 30th in the 50m Backstroke in a time of 30.43. She also placed 42nd in both the 50m Fly (29.10) and 100m Freestyle (59.49) and 43rd in the 100m Fly (1:06.29).
