Brock to host OUA Baseball Championship October 12-14

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - Brock University Athletics will be the host for the upcoming OUA Baseball Championship the weekend of October 12-14 at George Taylor Field.

The top four teams advancing to the 2012 OUA Championship include Brock, Guelph, Western and Toronto.

The Badgers who captured their seventh OUA regular seaason title this past weekend, will look to capture their fourth banner in school history. They were OUA Champions in 2002, 2004 and 2010.

The second place Guelph Gryphons finished second overall with a school best 14-win season. They will look to bring home their first OUA title in the program's history.

The Western Mustangs finished in third place overall. They hold the conference record for most Championships with four, winning the title in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009.

Rounding out the top four is the defending OUA Champion Toronto Varsity Blues. The Blues closed out the season winning their final three games to secure a postseason berth. In OUA history, Toronto has also captured three OUA banners winning the title in 2001, 2003 and 2011.
