Men's Curling opens season with 2-2 record, Women 0-4

The Brock University men's and women's curling teams opened the 2009 OUA season at the West Sectional hosted by Wilfrid Laurier University this past weekend.

The men posted a 2-2 record knocking off defending national Champions Laurier Golden Hawks 8-5. They also defeated Western 6-5 and lost to Waterloo (6-3) and Windsor (8-0).

The Brock women, made up of an entire rookie roster, posted an 0-4 record with losses to Laurier (7-2), Waterloo (6-3), Windsor (8-0) and Western (7-2).
