Women's Curling eliminated from CIS Nationals
EDMONTON, Alta. - On the third day of the 2010 CIS/CCA Curling National Championships, the Brock University women's team needed a victory over St. Mary's to advance to the semi-finals. Brock led 3-2 after the 8th end, before the Huskies answered with one point in the 9th and two in the 10th for the 5-3 victory ending the Badgers season.
The Brock team consisting of sophomore year skip Courtney Hodgson (Guelph, Ont.), sophomore lead Lauren Wasylkiw (Kleinburg, Ont.) and freshmen trio of second Joanne Curtis (Brampton, Ont.), third Jessica Corrado (Etobicoke, Ont.) and alternate Korie Kidd (Niagara Falls, Ont.) finished their first CIS National championship with a 3-2 overall record just missing out of the medal contentions.
