Brock Curling ends season at OUA Championships
ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University men's and women's curling teams had their season come to end at the OUA Championships hosted by the Laurier Golden Hawks. The Brock women finished with a 5-2 overall record, losing in a tiebreaker, and the men posted a 3-3 record.
The Brock women's team of skip Jessica Corrado (Etobicoke, Ont.), Danielle Breedon (Hamilton, Ont.), Erin Macaulay (Whitby, Ont.), Christina Walters (Newmarket, Ont.) and Shannon Tessier (Burlington, Ont.) finished in a three-way tie for first in Pool B with a 5-1 record. They posted victories over Western, Trent, Toronto, Windsor and Waterloo. The Badgers then lost 8-2 in a tiebreaker to the McMaster Marauders eliminatiing them from the medal rounds.
The Brock men's team of skip Scott Brandon (Midland, Ont.), Blake Sandham (St. Catharines, Ont.), Mike Idzenga (St. Catharines, Ont.), Jonah Mondloch (St. Catharines, Ont.) and Blake Nichols (London, Ont.) posted an overall record of 3-3 with victories over Laurier, Windsor and Waterloo.
