Brock women's golf places third and men finish ninth at Toronto Invitational
TORONTO, Ont. - The Brock University men's and women's golf teams competed at the Toronto Invitational held at the Angus Glen Golf Club this past weekend with the women placing third overall for the second week in a row and the men finishing ninth.
The Brock women had three golfers place in the top 10: Amy Mikula finished third overall with a two-day total of 165 (85-80), Lisa Romanin finished ninth carding an 88+88 for a 176 over the weekend, and Kristine Littlefield finished tied for 10th overall and was 14 shots better than her last tournament with a score of 177 (85-92). Rounding out the Badgers top four was Brittney Tykoliz (100+109=209).
The top three women's team finishers were Western (1st - 494), Toronto (2nd - 510) and Brock (3rd - 518) .
For the Brock men, Jack Gibson carded a 78+77 for a 155 total which placed him 19th, Daniel Hyatt shot an 84+81 for a 165, Miles Thompson carded a 167 (81-86) and Keaton Dalley finished with a 169 (87+82).
The top three men's team finishers were Waterloo (1st - 593), Laurier (2nd - 604) and Guelph (3rd - 611). Brock finished in ninth with a two-day total of 656.
Next weekend (October 16-18), the OUA Championships will be held at the Cataraqui Golf and Country Club in Kingston. The three-day event will be hosted by Queen's University.
