Del Monte held off on ECHL to attend college first
Ryan Del Monte has been familiar with the ECHL for quite some time now. Ten years ago his cousin, Dion Del Monte, had 58 points in 67 games for the Roanoke Express. Now it's Ryan's turn. The ECHL All-Star has been terrific in his rookie campaign with the Johnstown Chiefs, notching 37 points in his first 54 games. Not bad for someone who waited seven years before turning pro.

With the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs, he currently ranks first on his team in rookie scoring and 18th among league rookies having recorded two goals and 11 assists for 13 points in 27 games.

NORWAY - Former Brock University men's hockey goaltender Matt Harpwood (Welland, Ont.) is putting up strong numbers in his first season of professional hockey. With Lørenskog IK of the Norweigan Professional Hockey League, Harpwood has played in 24 games, having posted a 3-0-1 record in his past four starts.

Del Monte having strong rookie season in ECHL
JOHNSTOWN, PA - Former Brock University men's hockey player Ryan Del Monte (Mississauga, Ont.) is having a strong rookie season in the ECHL. With the Johnstown Chiefs, he currently ranks 4th on his team and 14th in rookie scoring having recorded three goals and 11 assists for 14 points in 20 games.

Jory in full recovery after serious injury
WINDSOR, Ont. - Brock University men's hockey freshman goaltender Kurt Jory (Brandon, MB) is in full recovery after undergoing surgery to repair a vein in his neck. He has come through the surgery with no complications and will return to St. Catharines in a few days.

St. Catharines, Ont. – The Brock University Men’s Hockey team (6-4-0-3) took on the Lakehead Thunderwolves (8-3-0-3) in front of 749 Brock fans on Friday night. It was sure to be a goaltender dual with Lakehead’s goaltender Kyle Moir is ranked second in the OUA with a Goals Against Average (GAA) of 2.42, and Brock’s goaltender Kurt Jory (Brandon, Man.) is ranked third with a GAA of 2.43 set to face-off against each other.

Del Monte held off on ECHL to attend college first
Ryan Del Monte has been familiar with the ECHL for quite some time now. Ten years ago his cousin, Dion Del Monte, had 58 points in 67 games for the Roanoke Express. Now it's Ryan's turn. The ECHL All-Star has been terrific in his rookie campaign with the Johnstown Chiefs, notching 37 points in his first 54 games. Not bad for someone who waited seven years before turning pro.

Despite hard working performances, Brock entered the game with no points since returning to play in 2009. On Sunday, Brock fought for every inch but immerged victorious in a shoot-out thriller.

Ottawa, Ont. – The Brock University Men’s Hockey team (7-9-0-3) matched up against the University of Ottawa Gee Gee’s (7-6-2-1) in the second game of their road trip. After a tough loss against UQTR Brock entered the game needing a win to remain in contention for first place in the Mid West Division.

TROIS-RIVIERES, Que. – The Brock University Men’s Hockey team (7-8-3-0) faced off against the University de Quebec Trois Rivieres (UQTR) Patriotes (16-1-1-0) in the opening game for the teams three game road trip. UQTR is first place in the OUA entering the game with only one regular season loss. A highly offensive team led by Jonathan Boutin who leads the OUA in scoring with 35 points in 16 games.

Brock Men’s Hockey Defeated 3-1 by Western
St. Catharines, Ont. – The Brock University Men’s Hockey team (7-7-3-0) took on the Western Mustangs (10-5-1-0) in their first game of the New Year. The starting goalie for Brock would be Tommy Lee (Port Perry, Ont.) making is first appearance since shattering his heel in late 2007. Despite a strong performance from Lee, Brock was unable to defeat the Mustangs.

With the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs, he currently ranks first on his team in rookie scoring and 18th among league rookies having recorded two goals and 11 assists for 13 points in 27 games.

NORWAY - Former Brock University men's hockey goaltender Matt Harpwood (Welland, Ont.) is putting up strong numbers in his first season of professional hockey. With Lørenskog IK of the Norweigan Professional Hockey League, Harpwood has played in 24 games, having posted a 3-0-1 record in his past four starts.

Jory in full recovery after serious injury
WINDSOR, Ont. - Brock University men's hockey freshman goaltender Kurt Jory (Brandon, MB) is in full recovery after undergoing surgery to repair a vein in his neck. He has come through the surgery with no complications and will return to St. Catharines in a few days.

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. – The Brock University men’s hockey team (6-5-0-3) were shutout 3-0 for the second straight night by the No. 9 ranked Lakehead Thunderwolves (9-3-0-3). With the loss, the Badgers now sit in a three-way tie for first place in the OUA Mid-West with Guelph and York.

St. Catharines, Ont. – The Brock University Men’s Hockey team (6-4-0-3) took on the Lakehead Thunderwolves (8-3-0-3) in front of 749 Brock fans on Friday night. It was sure to be a goaltender dual with Lakehead’s goaltender Kyle Moir is ranked second in the OUA with a Goals Against Average (GAA) of 2.42, and Brock’s goaltender Kurt Jory (Brandon, Man.) is ranked third with a GAA of 2.43 set to face-off against each other.
