Brock men's rugby rolls past Varsity Blues 66-10
TORONTO, Ont. - The Brock University men's rugby team (3-4 OUA) rolled past the University of Toronto Varsity Blues by the score of 66-10 Saturday night on the road.
Leading the Badgers offense was Reece Hummel (Alliston, Ont.) who recorded a season high 15 points adding three trys. Hugh McDonell (Brantford, Ont.) contributed with 14 points connecting on seven converts. Ty Riddick (Oshawa, Ont.) added 13 points with two trys and a drop goal while Brandon Marsden (Uxbridge, Ont.) registered a career high two trys.
Mackenzie Redgate (Lindsay, Ont.), Matthew Alexander (Oshawa, Ont.) and Jonathan Thompson (Markham, Ont.) all chipped in with one try each in the victory.
Nicholas Smith had both Varsity Blues try.
Going into the last game of the regular season, the Badgers have three players in the OUA Top 10 scoring with McDonell (2nd - 48 points), Alexander (T-4th - 38 points) and Hummel (T-7th - 25 points).
The Badgers end the OUA regular season on Saturday, October 29th at 1:00 pm when they take on the Waterloo Warriors on the road.
