Brock men’s soccer suffers 3-0 loss to Guelph

GUELPH, Ont. – The Brock University men's soccer team (1-3 OUA) lost 3-0 to the Guelph Gryphons (3-1 OUA) on Saturday in Guelph.

Ten minutes into the game, sophomore Dena Iezady (Richmond Hill, Ont.) gave the Gryphons the lead as he beat Brock senior goalkeeper Ryan Toale (Brampton, Ont.) for his second goal of the season.

Junior Robert Murphy (Ottawa, Ont.) extended the Gryphons lead early in the second half and he put the game away with his second goal in the 83rd minute.

In goal, Guelph starter Paparoni recorded seven saves for his third victory of the season. Toale suffered the loss after allowing three goals on seven shots.

The Badgers will be in action against this Saturday at 3:15 pm when they host the Waterloo Warriors.
