Brock men's wrestling places 1st at Western Open, Women 2nd

LONDON, Ont. - The Brock University men's wrestling team placed first overall at the Western Open this past weekend. The Brock women finished in second place.

Capturing gold for the Brock men were Tim Clement (57kg), CJ Hudson (68kg), Brad Trimble (72kg) and Andrey Voronstov (90kg). James (Michio) Clark (54kg), Nick Rowe (72kg) and Matrixx Ferreira (76kg) all placed third in their respective weight class. Rounding out the Badgers finishers was John Cotrill (4th - 65kg), Gabe Turetsky (5th - 72kg) and Gildo Domingos (6th - 61kg).

For the Brock women, Michelle Fazzari placed first overall at 63kg. Lydia Congdon (51kg), Natasha Chang (63kg), Olivia DeiBacco (72kg) all placed second in their respective weight class. Marissa Sorrell (67kg) and Rebecca Levitt (72kg) both captured bronze.

At the Dave Schultz Memorial International in Colorado Springs, Jade Parsons captured a silver medal posting a 3-1 overall record.
