Throughout the spring and summer months we will catch up with many of the Badgers top returning athletes for the 2011-12 season as part of the Getting to Know Your Badgers.

Our next student-athlete who we had the chance to ask a few questions to was Brock women's basketball senior guard Devyn Cuncic (Carlisle, Ont.).

Why did you choose Brock and what is your favourite thing about it?

Brock was very interested in me in high school and they have a great reputation for women's basketball. They had a lot of veteran players so I knew there was good opportunities for me to play early in my career. Brock has a variety of specialized academic programs and I was interested in a few of them.

My favourite thing about Brock is the school atmosphere and having the opportunity to experience the life of a varsity athlete.

What is one thing that most people don't know about you?

I used to be left handed when I was younger and my parents decided to train me to use my right hand.

What has been the best moment of your Brock career, thus far?

The best moment of my brock career was travelling to the Dominican Republic this past Christmas break wiht the team. We had the opportunity to play against teams from there and put on clinics for local players. It was a great experience!

Who has been the most influential person in your life?

My family! My parents are amazing people and are there every step of the way to support and guide me. I can never thank them enough. Also, my two older sisters. I look up to them in so many ways as they are very successful individuals. They have taught me a lot and I can always count on them.

What is a typical day off the court like for you?

attend my classes, hangout with friends/teammates, workout

What do you want to do after university?

After university I plan to go to teacher's college and become an elementary school teacher. I would love to teach kindergarten

If you could travel to any place in the world where would you go?

I would go to the Greek islands - I heard they are magnificent! Paris is another place I would love to go to!

If you could have dinner with any three people in the world who would it be?

I would want to have dinner with Jesus Christ, Barack Obama and Derrick Rose
