Badgers Fickel named second team OUA All-Star
ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - Brock University women's hockey player Jessica Fickel (Fort Erie, Ont.) earned her first conference honour as she was named a 2011-12 OUA second team All-Star.
Fickel, a second year Biomedical Sciences major, had a great second season as she led the Badgers in scoring and finished tied for fourth in the OUA with a career high 30 points including 15 goals and 15 assists in 26 games.
During the regular season she recorded nine multiple-point performances and added six power play, three shorthanded and one game winning goal.
In two seasons, Fickel has registered 22 goals and 29 assists for 51 career points in 53 games. In the Brock career record books she already ranks sixth in career points (51), tied for fifth in career goals (22) and eighth all-time in career assists (29).
She also became just the sixth player in school history to record 50 career points.
Fickel is also a well deserved recipient of the Quest for Gold.
