2012-13 Brock women's hockey schedule
ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University women's hockey team have announced their schedule for the upcoming 2012-13 season. Jim Denham enters his third full season as the head coach of the Brock women's hockey program.
The Badgers will have six pre-season contests before opening the OUA regular season the first weekend in October.
Their pre-season opponents include the Toronto Aeros (Sept. 9th - 3:15 pm), Carleton Ravens (Sept. 15th - 3:15 pm), Brampton Thunder (Sept. 23rd - 3:15 pm) and Stoney Creek Jrs. (Sept. 29 - 3:15 pm), Toronto Varsity Blues (Sept. 27 - 7:00 pm, Sept. 30 - 3:15 pm)
Brock opens the 2012-13 OUA regular season at home against the UOIT Ridgebacks (Oct. 6th - 3:15 pm.).
They will then go on the road for six of their next seven games; at York (Oct. 7 - 2:00 pm), at Western (Oct. 13th - 4:00 pm), at Windsor (Oct. 14th - 4:10 pm), at Queen's (Oct. 19th - 7:30 pm), at Toronto (Oct. 26th - 7:30 pm) and at the defending champion Laurier Golden Hawks (Nov. 1st - 7:30 pm). The Badgers lone home contest during that seven game stint is versus Guelph (Oct. 17th - 7:15 pm).
Brock will then begin a five-game homestand; vs Waterloo (Nov. 2nd - 7:15 pm), vs Windsor (Nov. 10th - 3:15 pm), vs Western (Nov. 11th - 3:15 pm), vs Toronto (Nov. 17th - 3:15 pm) and versus Ryerson (Nov. 18th - 3:15 pm).
The Badgers will go on the road for three more games against Guelph (Nov. 21st - 7:30 pm), York (Nov. 24th - 2:00 pm) and Ryerson (Nov. 30th - 7:00 pm). They will close out the first half of the OUA regular season at home versus Guelph (Dec. 2nd - 3:15 pm).
The second half of the OUA regular season will begin on January 12th and 13th when Brock plays host to the Windsor Lancers and Western Mustangs. Both games are scheduled for 3:15 pm. They will end a three-game homestand on January 19th at 3:15 pm when they host the York Lions.
Brock will then travel to Oshawa on January 20th to take on UOIT, before returning home for two key divisional matchups against Queen's (Jan. 27th - 4:15 pm) and Laurier (Feb. 2nd - 3:15 pm).
The Badgers will end the OUA regular season with three road contests; at Waterloo (Feb. 3rd - 2:00 pm), at Toronto (Feb. 9th - 4:00 pm) and at Ryerson (Feb. 10th - 2:00 pm).
All Brock home games are played at the Seymour-Hannah Centre located on St. Paul St. W.
