Brock women's soccer ends season with 1-0 loss to Waterloo

WATERLOO, Ont. - The Brock University women's soccer team (3-9-2 OUA) ended their season with a 1-0 loss to the Waterloo Warriors (3-5-4 OUA) on the road Wednesday.

With the loss, the Badgers miss the playoffs for the first time since 2001. Needing a victory in their final five games, Brock went 0-5 registering just one goal while allowing eight.

With the victory, Waterloo extends their unbeaten streak to five games in which they have gone 3-0-2 with 11 of their 13 points.

The Warriors lone goal came in extra time with Kaitlyn Barnett finding the net behind Brock goalkeeper Luciana Di Paolo (Newmarket, Ont.). It was Barnett's team leading third goal of the campaign.

In goal, Waterloo's Lesia Bandura recorded six saves for the shutout. Di Paolo added four saves in the loss.
