Women's Volleyball blanks RMC 3-0


KINGSTON, Ont. - The Brock University women's volleyball team (10-6 OUA) swept the Royal Military College 3-0 Sunday night on the road (25-22, 25-21, 27-25).

The Badgers had a balanced offense led by senior Erin Mercer (Rockwood, Ont.) who recorded nine kills and three block solos. Freshman Tori Stirling (Whitby, Ont.) and sophomore Rachel Roorda (St. George, Ont.) both contributed with eight kills each. Senior Katelyn Geisbrecht (Virgil, Ont.) and junior Shannon Anderson (Newmarket, Ont.) added seven and six kills respectively in the victory.

For RMC, Melissa McCoy led all players with a match high 17 kills. Norah Collins contributed with a double-double adding 15 kills and 13 digs in the loss.

The Badgers next action is January 29th at 7:30 pm when they play host to the first place McMaster Marauders. This night is THINK PINK Breast Cancer Awareness Night as well as Graduating Senior Night.
