WVB: Badgers end season with 3-0 loss to Queen’s

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. – The Brock University women's volleyball team had their season come to end as they dropped a 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-15) decision to the No. 3 seeded Queen's Gaels in the OUA ¼ Finals Saturday afternoon on the road.

Brock's offense was held to a season low 19 kills while Queen's Natalie Gray and Becky Billings combined for 25 of their team's 39 kills in the match. Gray led all players with 15 kills and five digs while Billings added 10 kills and six digs. Kelsey Bishop rounded out the Gaels offensive leaders finishing with eight kills in the victory.

Senior Rachel Roorda (St. George, Ont.) led the Badgers with nine kills. Jennifer McKenzie (Surrey BC) chipped in with four kills in the loss. Senior Ally Fast (St. Catharines, Ont.) ended her Brock career with 15 assists and five digs in the loss. 

Queen's hit match-high .338 adding 39 kills with 12 errors on 80 attempts. Brock hit a minimal .094 adding 19 kills on 13 errors with 64 attempts.

This was the third time Brock has reached the quarter-finals over the past four years and has not been able to reach the final four.
