Brock women's volleyball blanked by No. 5 GeeGees 3-0
ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University women's volleyball team dropped to 2-5 on the season as they were swept by the No. 5 ranked Ottawa GeeGees (6-0 OUA) 3-0 (10-25, 14-25, 16-25) Saturday afternoon on the road.
Brock's offense was held to a season low negative -7.2% hitting percentage adding just 18 kills with 24 errors on 83 attempts. Ottawa hit 23.3% for the match adding 28 kills with 11 errors on 73 attempts.
Leading the GeeGees offense was Karina Krueger Schwanke who registered a match high 12 kills and six digs. Kelsie English contributed with six kills, five blocks and nine digs in the victory.
Brock senior Shenise Power (North Vancouver, BC) finished with just three kills to lead the Badgers. Six other Brock players added two kills each. Freshman Karlinna O'Leary (Whitby, Ont.) added 12 digs giving her 57 on the season (4.38 digs/game).
The Badgers next action is November 17th at 2pm when they take on the Waterloo Warriors (2-3 OUA) on the road.
