Friesen, a second-year Psychology major, played a major role in the Brock women’s wrestling team capturing their eighth consecutive provincial banner claiming individual gold in the 56kg event. Friesen began her gold medal journey with a decisive 10-0 technical fall victory over Guelph, before then earning a pin fall victory versus her opponent from Western. The 2022 OUA rookie of the year concluded her championship run in 2023 with a hard-earned pin in just over two minutes against McMaster to earn her first career OUA individual gold medal.
