Fiona Barkovic, a first-year Brock women's tennis player, helped the Badgers complete a weekend sweep. On Saturday, Sept. 28, Barkovic won her singles match by commanding scores of 6-1 and 6-2 while also teaming with Aleks Paramentic to win her doubles match 8-4. Those wins helped the Badgers defeat the Ottawa Gee-Gees 4-3. The next day, the Badgers and Western Mustangs were locked at 3-3 when the Sport Management major broke the deadlock with a thrilling three-set victory. After trading sets with scores of 7-5 and then 4-6, Barkovic won a nail-biting tiebreaker 10-8 to give the Badgers the overall victory, breaking a multi-year losing streak to the Western Mustangs.
