In an exceptional showing on the water, Tatum O'Connor helped break previous Brock swimming milestones, becoming the first OUA champion for the women's program since 2003. The second-year swimmer captured three gold medals and a silver to finish with an overall medal haul of four as the Badgers women won a total of seven medals over the weekend. On Friday, the Kinesiology major won the 50m backstroke event with a time of 27.87, qualifying her for the national championships. Her next night included two more podium finishes as she earned first in the 100m backstroke (59.60) and second in the 50m butterfly (27.14). Both of those results not only qualified for her the national championships but also for the Canadian Trials. She then partnered with Grace Chai, Adriana Martone and Kendra Hussey to win a gold medal in the 4x50m medley relay as they finished in a time of 1:54.28. The Badgers finished sixth in the competition for the second consecutive year.
