Rankin completed an undefeated day to win her first OUA gold medal after placing second a year ago in the 59-kilogram event. In the 62kg weight category at the 2025 OUA Championships, the fourth-year wrestler went undefeated in Pool B action. She first won by fall at 1:20 over the Lakehead Thunderwolves' Payton O'Hare before defeating Emily Younghans of the Guelph Gryphons by technical fall 10-0. In the final, Rankin showed grit as she earned a tough 11-6 decision over the previously undefeated Jonelle Clarke of the Western Mustangs. Rankin's performance helped the Badgers women accomplish another milestone as they won their tenth championship in a row and 23rd overall title.
