Tatum O'Connor competed at the Merrily Stratten Divisional Championship on Saturday, Nov. 22 and Sunday, Nov. 23, taking home four medals (two gold, two bronze) at the event. The third-year swimmer earned the fastest time of all 50-metre backstroke swimmers, finishing in 28 seconds and 30 milliseconds. In the 100m backstroke, the Social Sciences major shined once again, completing the race in 1:01.062 to claim her second gold medal of the weekend. O'Connor competed alongside teammates Grace Chai, Quinn Mersereau and Cassidy Karrel in the 200m freestyle relay, with the four capturing a bronze for Brock with a school record time of 1:42.72. O'Connor did not stop after three medals, claiming bronze in the 200m medley relay with Chai, Karrel and Adriana Martone, finishing with a time of 1:54.65. O'Connor helped the Badgers earn a fourth-place result at the championship, narrowly missing out on a podium finish as they earned 591 points, just shy of the third-place McMaster Marauders who finished with 596.
