Birch Pockar was a key contributor for the Badgers over the week, earning 25 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists en route to two wins for the No. 10 ranked team in the country. Pockar and the Badgers took down the McMaster Marauders 89-71 on Saturday, Jan. 31 at Paint the Meridian Red, taking place at the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines. The Business major scored a career-high 15 points in the contest, 12 of which came in the fourth quarter to close out the game. Pockar impacted the game defensively as well, tacking on seven rebounds for the second consecutive game and grabbing five steals to shut down a potential McMaster comeback. The prior game against the York Lions on Wednesday, Jan. 28, at Bob Davis Gymnasium was the All for Change game, which saw Pockar notch 10 points and seven rebounds in an 83-71 Badgers victory. The first-year guard was poised at the free-throw line, going 5-for-5.
