SUDBURY, Ont. - The Brock University men's lacrosse team (2-0
CUFLA) swept the weekend series over the Laurentian Voyageurs
winning game two by the score of 13-8 Sunday afternoon.
Leading the Badgers offense for the second straight day was
senior Jordan Weedmark (Carleton Place, Ont.) who recorded his
second straight 6-point performance registering four goals and two
helpers for the 12-point weekend.
Bryson Filipetti (Virgil, Ont.) added two goals for the second
straight contest. Mark Vradenburg (Nepean, Ont.), Dillon Hendsbee
(St. Catharines, Ont.) Craig England (Fergus, Ont.), Roscoe Smith
(Midland, Ont.), Steve Priolo (Welland, Ont.), Matt Goetz
(Waubaushene, Ont.) and Greg Davidson (Toronto, Ont.) all chipped
in with one goal each in the victory.
In goal, senior Daniel Fyfe (Etobicoke, Ont.) played the first
half allowing two goals for the victory. Junior Ian Duffy (Ajax,
Ont.) allowed six goals in the final 40 minutes.
The Badgers next action is Sunday, September 18th at 12:30 pm in
a rematch of last year's CUFLA National Championship game versus
McMaster. It will be part of 2011 CUFLA Lax Bash hosted by Wilfrid
Laurier.
