Brock women's volleyball sweeps RMC 3-0

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University women's volleyball team (2-2 OUA West) swept the RMC Paladins 3-0 (25-21, 25-13, 25-22) Saturday afternoon at the Bob Davis Gymnasium.

Senior Shenise Power (North Vancouver, BC) had a big match for the Badgers as she led all players with a game-high 18 kills with a .457 hitting percentage.  Junior Katie Murray (London, Ont.) contributed with seven kills and five digs while sophomore Maddie Brown (Scarborough, Ont.) added three kills and three block solos. Sophomore libero Karlinna O'Leary (Whitby, Ont.) added 16 digs and junior settter Lauren Stirling (Whitby, Ont.) collected 25 assists and eight digs in the victory.

Leading RMC was Mallory Litjens who finished with seven kills.

For the match, the Badgers hit 23.0% as a team registering 32 kills with 12 errors on 87 total attacks. RMC hit just 2.9% collecting 21 kills with 18 errors on 104 attempts.

Brock was without starters Lucy McLay and Nicole Arthurs.

The Badgers next action is Sunday afternoon when they host the Windsor Lancers. Game time is scheduled for 1pm at the Bob Davis Gymnasium.
