ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University men's basketball team (2-14 OUA West) dropped a 99-57 decision to the Lakehead Thunderwolves Saturday night at the Bob Davis Gymnasium.
The Badgers trailed 27-17 after one quarter. In the second quarter, Lakehead put together a 23-0 run in the final seven minutes to take a commanding 58-23 lead at the half. Brock would play Lakehead almost even in the second half but it was to little to late as the Badgers dropped their sixth straight in 2014.
Leading the Lakehead offense was Henry Tan who led all players with 23 points including going 13-for-14 from the charity stripe. Igor Lebov was one rebound shy of a double double finishing with 17 points and nine boards. Dwayne Harvey and Joseph Nitychoruk chipped in with 13 and 12 points respectively.

Tshing Kasamba (St. Catharines, Ont.) led the Badgers with 12 points. Freshman
Dani Elgadi (Waterloo, Ont.) registered nine points and nine rebounds. Freshmen
Jeremy Angelini (Hamilton, Ont.) and
Ryan Flanagan both added nine points each in the loss.
Brock shot 29.3% (22-for-75) from the field, 21.1% (4-for-19) from beyond the arc and 56.2% (9-for-16) from the charity stripe. The Thunderwolves finished the contest shooting 50.0% (33-for-66) from the floor including 42.9% (9-for-21) from downtown and 92.3% (24-for-26) from the free throw line.Â
The Badgers will look to get in the win column Wednesday night when they take on the Waterloo Warriors on the road.
