WATERLOO, Ont. - The Brock University women's basketball team (9-8 OUA West) defeated the Waterloo Warriors by the score of 72-50 Wednesday night at the Physical Activities Complex.

The Badgers jumped out to an early 11-0 lead in the opening four minutes and led 38-21 at the half. Brock outscored Waterloo by three points in each of the third and fourth quarters on route to the 22-point road victory.

Nicole Rosenkranz (Niagara Falls, Ont.) led all players with a game-high 18 points in just 18 minutes off the bench. With her 18 points, she moves into a tie for 8th all-time in Brock career scoring with Erin Allan (1356 career points).

Andrea Polischuk (Brantford, Ont.) contributed with 13 points while sophomore
Dayna Howlett (Burlington, Ont.) and junior Jenna Yumol (London, Ont.) added nine and eight points respectively. Junior
Katie Harpur (Niagara Falls, Ont.) pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds and chipped in with four points in the victory.
Waterloo's lone player in double figures was Laura Burnett who added 10 points and eight rebounds in the loss.
For the game Brocxk shot 35.4% (28-for-79) from the field including 38.1% (8-for-21) from beyond the arc and 80.0% (8-for-10) from the charity stripe. Waterloo finshed the game shooting 33.3% (19-for-57) from the floor, 20.0% (3-for-15) from three-point range and 69.2% (9-for-13) from the free throw line.
The Badgers return to action Saturday afternoon when they take on the Laurier Golden Hawks on the road.
