The Brock Badgers men's hockey team (5-6-1 OUA) picked up a big road win Friday night in North Bay, edging the Nipissing Lakers (7-6-1 OUA) 3-2. Â Â
Brock took a 2-0 lead on the strength of an
Andrew Radjenovic powerplay goal (his team leading 14th point of the season) and
Sammy Banga's team-leading seventh goal of the campaign. Â
After the Lakers tied things early in the third period,
Jamie Kendra would seal the deal for the Badgers at the 14:37 mark of the final frame. Â Kendra's third goal of the season was his second point of the game.
Clint Windsor made 29 stops to pick up his second straight victory.
"We played well and earned an important win on the road," Brock Head Coach
Murray Nystrom said. Â "Offensively we did an excellent job and probably should have had a couple of more goals." Â
The Badgers were 1-for-2 on the powerplay. Nipissing was 2-for-6.
Brock continues its northern road trip tomorrow night at Laurentian. Â
The Badgers next home game is next Saturday, November 28th against the York Lions. Game time at the Seymour-Hannah Centre is 7:15 pm. Â
