Laura Neu and
Jessica Fickel both notched three point games, but it was not enough as the Brock women's hockey team (0-5-2 OUA) dropped a 4-3 decision to the No. 4 ranked Queen's Gaels (6-1-2 OUA) Sunday afternoon at the Seymour-Hannah Centre.
Neu had two power play goals and one assist, while Fickel recorded three helpers.
Christina Ieradi had the other Badgers goal.
With her three assists, Fickel (48G, 59A, 107 points) moves just six points shy of becoming the Badgers all-time leading scorer. She looks to surpass Kate Allgood and Kelly Walker who both finished their Brock careers with 112 points.
Emily Kelly made 33 saves in the loss as Brock was outshot 37-33 overall.
Queen's went for 2-for-5 on the powerplay and scored the eventual game-winner with the extra attacker.The Badgers were 2-for-3 on the powerplay.
The Badgers are back in action again next weekend when they host the Waterloo Warriors (Nov. 15) and Laurier Golden Hawks (Nov. 16). Both games are schedule for 2:15pm at the Seymour-Hannah Centre.
