Brock women's basketball drop 73-56 decision to No. 1 Lancers

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University women's basketball team (11-11 OUA West) dropped a 73–56 decision to the No. 1 ranked Windsor Lancers (21-1 OUA West) Saturday afternoon at the Bob Davis Gymnasium.

Prior to the game, the Badgers recognized their 2014 graduating senior class which included Nicole Rosenkranz (Niagara Falls, Ont.), Samantha De Jong (St. Catharines, Ont.), Annie McNeely (Kingston, Ont.) and Andrea Polischuk (Brantford, Ont.).

Windsor had three players in double figures led by Jessica Clemencon who finished with 19 points. Miah-Marie Langlois added 18 points eight rebounds and eight assists while Korissa Williams registered 16 points and five rebounds in the victory.

Leading the Badgers offense was Rosenkranz who recorded 19 points and nine rebounds. DeJong contributed was 16 points and four rebounds in her final game as a Badger.

For the game Windsor shot 35.6% from the field play going 26-for-73. They were also 81.0% from the charity stripe going 17-for-21. Brock shot 32.8% going 20-for-61 from the field, which included just 2-for-13 (15.4%) from beyond the arc. Brock also turned the ball over 19 times which led to 21 points off turnovers.

Brock finishes the regular season in sixth place in the OUA West and will travel to Waterloo on Wednesday to take on the Laurier Golden Hawks in the OUA West quarterfinals.
