Box Score OSHAWA, Ont. - The Brock University women's hockey team dropped a 5-2 decision against the UOIT Ridegbacks Friday night on the road.

UOIT opened the scoring seven minutes into the opening period, as Chelsea Ball registered her seventh goal of the season.

The Ridgebacks would add two more goals from Samantha Forchielli and Zoe Battie, less than a minute apart early in the second period, to take a 3-0 lead.  

Brock would answer back with the next two goals to make it 3-2. Rookie Christina Ieradi beat UOIT starter Tori Campbell at 3:10, for her ninth of the campaign, making it 3-1. Just over two minutes later, Maegan Wall registered her first career goal as a Badger, cutting the Ridgebacks lead to one. 

UOIT regained the two-goal lead at 6:34 of the second period, as Kassidy Nauboris found Norda Gorda who beat Brock goaltender Emily Kelly for her second goal of the campaign.

The Ridgebacks closed out the scoring late in the third period with a goal from Mikaeli Cavell, her third of the season.

In goal UOIT's Campbell turned aside 22 of 24 shots she faced for the victory. Kelly sufffered the loss for the Badgers allowing four goals on 13 shots.

Brock returns to action Saturday night on the road when they take on the Queen's Gaels in Kingston.
