Box Score ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University men's hockey team blanked the Nipissing Lakers by the score of 3-0 Friday night at the Seymour-Hannah Centre.

The Badgers opened the scoring 11:28 into the opening period as Sammy Banga (Windsor, Ont.) and Brody Silk (Iroquois Falls, Ont.) setup Jamie Kendra (Markham Ont.) for his first of the regular season.

With just over two minutes left in the first period, Chris Maniccia (St. Catharines, Ont.) drilled a shot past Nipissing starter Domenic Graham to give the Badgers a 2-0 lead.

Brock would add an insurance goal with just under five minutes left in the game as Jake Cardwell (Niagara Falls, Ont.) beat Graham for his first regular season goal as a Badger. Tyson Dallman (Prince Albert, Sask.) and Maniccia added the assists.

In goal, Clint Windsor (Hamilton, Ont.) recorded 34 saves for the shutout victory. Nipissing's Graham collected 26 saves in the loss.

The Badgers return to action October 24th at 3:15pm when they host the Laurentian Voyageurs at the Seymour-Hannah Centre.
