St Catharines, Ont. - The Brock University women's volleyball team (0-4 OUA) dropped a 3-1 decision to the Waterloo Warriors Sunday afternoon at the Bob Davis Gymnasium (25-23, 10-25, 19-25 19-25).
The Badgers were led by
Kelsi Boroevich (Burnaby, BC) who finished with 15 kills and 16 digs for the double-double.
Abby Jenkins (Cambridge, Ont.) finished with five kills and 14 digs while
Maddie Brown (Scarborough, Ont.) chipped in with five kills. Senior libero
Karlinna O'Leary (Whitby, Ont.) finished with 21 digs while rookie setter
Annika Naylor (Calgary, AB) had a double-double adding 25 assists and 10 digs.
Waterloo was led by Alyson Colpitts who registered 14 kills and four aces. Setter Emily Needles added 36 assists and 11 digs for the double-double.
For the match, the Badgers hit .218 adding 37 kills with 11 errors on 119 attempts. The Warriors had a .193 hitting percentage finishing with 44 kills with 18 errors on 135 attempts.
The Badgers will be on the road next weekend in Thunder Bay when they take on the Lakehead Thunderwolves.
