Box Score OTTAWA, Ont. – The Brock University's women's volleyball team (1-7 OUA) headed to the nation's capital on Friday night to take on the Ottawa GeeGees. The Badgers went the distance, tied up at two sets a piece through four; but would eventually drop the fifth and final set, to a score of 7-15 (25-20, 20-25, 25-13, 14-25, 7-15).

Brianna Hamilton (Dunrobin, Ont.) led the way for the Brock offense providing 10 kills and four digs. Other notable performers included Alanna Norris (Whitby, Ont.) (seven kills and 10 digs), Maddie Brown (Scarborough, Ont.) (7 kills) and setter Alexis Gregorio (Scarborough, Ont.) (25 assists).

The Gee-Gees also had some top performances led by Kaly Soro who contributed with 12 kills, five digs and five service aces. Setter Kira Tome added the double-double chipping in with 40 assists and 12 digs along with three service aces of her own. Alex Durivage recorded 13 kills on 22 attempts, while Sabrina Roy contributed with 16 digs.

On the day, the Badgers would boast a mere .158 hitting percentage managing 33 kills on 101 attempts, with 17 errors. The Gee-Gees connected with 55 kills on 123 attempts, for a .244 hitting percentage.

The Badgers hit the road again next Friday to take on the Western Mustangs in London. Ont. before heading home to host the Nipissing Lakers on Saturday, November 28th at 2:00 p.m.
