TROIS RIVIERES - The Brock University men's hockey team (5-7-4 OUA) dropped a 2-1 decision in overtime to the No. 7 ranked UQTR Patriotes Saturday night on the road.
The Badgers now sit in a four-way tie for 5th with 14 points in the OUA West with Waterloo, Ryerson and Toronto.
In the opening 40 minutes, it remained scoreless as Brock starter
Clint Windsor (Hamilton, ON) stopped the first 17 shots he faced while UQTR's Sebastien Auger added 27 saves in the opening two periods.
UQTR got on the board first at 7:38 of the third period as Guillaume Asselin setup Olivier Caouette for his third goal of the season. The Badgers evened the game 1-1 at 12:12 as
Skylar Pacheco (Kitimat, BC) setup
Greg Jambrosich (Hamilton, ON) for his first goal of the season.
With just 1:26 remaining in overtime, Asselin beat Windsor for his 15th of the campaign and the game winner.
Windsor recorded 38 saves in the loss while Auge turned aside 36 of 37 shots he faced for the victory.
