Box Score ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University women's volleyball team (1-9 OUA) ended the first half of the season with a heartbreaking 3-2 loss to the Nipissing Lakers (25-16, 20-25, 26-24, 18-25, 17-19) at the Bob Davis Gymnasium Saturday afternoon.

Leading the Badgers offense was Abby Jenkins (Cambridge, ON) who recorded 14 kills and 19 digs for the double-double. Brianna Hamilton (Dunrobin, ON) contributed with 11 kills and seven digs while Kelsi Boroevich (Burnaby, BC), who only played the final three sets, added 10 kills and six digs. Brock setter Alexis Gregorio (Scarborough, ON) had the best match of her career finishing with 38 assists and 14 digs. Libero Karlinna O'Leary (Whitby, ON) added 20 digs in the match as she collected her 1000th career dig.

Nipissing was led by Tracy Hammerton who registered the double-double adding 10 kills and 21 digs. Annabelle Harvey and Erika Lapierre chipped in with eight kills each. Lakers setter Jade DeCoste added 35 assists and 14 digs in the victory, their first of the season.

For the match, the Badgers hit .161 adding 42 kills with 19 errors on 143 attempts. The Lakers had a .131 hitting percentage finishing with 39 kills and 19 errors on 153 attempts.
