HAMILTON, Ont.- The Brock University men's basketball ended their 2014-15 season with an 87-73 loss to the No. 4 ranked McMaster Marauders Wednesday night at the Burridge Gymnasium.
McMaster jumped out to an early 12-4 lead and led by 11 after 10 minutes, 23-12. Midway through the second quarter, the Marauders went on a 17-4 run to extend their lead to 44-20, on route to their conference leading 15th victory of the regular season. Brock outcored McMaster 48-43 in the second half.Â
The Badgers had three starters reach double digits led by
Nolan Mackenzie (Oakville, Ont.) who recorded 17 points and four assists.
Matt Marshall (Burlington, Ont.) registered the double-double adding 14 points and 11 rebounds, while
Dani Elgadi (Waterloo, Ont.) chipped in with 14 points and eight rebounds in the loss.
Brock shot just 38.6% (27-for-70) from the field, 26.3% (5-for-19) from beyond the arc and 77.8% (14-for-18) from the free throw line. McMaster shot 40.0% (34-for-85) from the floor, 37.9% (11-for-29) from three-point range and 61.5% (8-for-13) from the charity stripe.
