Box Score Despite a 9-6 loss to the Windsor Lancers Saturday night, the Brock Badgers men's hockey team will qualify for the post-season. The Badgers will in fact play the Lancers in the opening round of the OUA West Division playoffs.
 On Saturday the Badgers fell behind 4-2 after one period of play and 7-5 after 40 minutes. Â
Andrew Radjenovic and
Daniel Tanel paced the Badgers with one goal and one assist apiece, while
Anthony Geldart added two helpers.
Jordan Gignac,
Dylan MacEachern,
Tyson Dallman and
Sammy Banga had the other Brock goals. Â
"Our offence seems to be coming together at the right time," said Badger bench boss
Murray Nystrom. Â "We will need to be more responsible on the defensive side to have any success against Windsor in a playoff game."
Brock finished the night 3-for-5 on the powerplay, while Windsor was 3-for-4.
Clint Windsor suffered the loss in goal making 33 saves on 42 shots. Â
The Badgers (10-15-2) finish eighth and will open their best of three playoff series against the top-seeded Lancers (22-4-1) Wednesday night at home. Â Game time at the Seymour-Hannah Centre is 7:15 p.m. Â Games two and three in the series will likely be played next weekend in Windsor pending league approval. Â
