Box Score Sudbury,ON - The Brock University women's hockey team (6-2-10-1 OUA) defeated the Laurentian Voyageurs by the score of 2-0 Sunday afternoon on the road.

The Badgers opened the scoring 12:44 into the second period as Brenna Murphy (Odessa, ON) setup Laura Neu (Ayr, ON) for her fourth goal of the season with a shorthanded marker.

Rookie Maggie Spratt-Mallick (Caledonia, ON) recorded her first goal of the season 7:47 into the third period with Brittany Gillmor (St George Brant, ON) adding the assists to give the Badgers a 2-0 lead.

In goal, Stephanie Loukes (Oakville, ON) recorded 32 saves for the shutout. Loukes put together one of the best back-to-back performances of her career, turning aside 61 of 62 shots she faced in two games for a .984 sv%. Laurentian goaltender Emily Toffoli recorded 19 saves in the loss. 

The Badgers return to action Saturday, February 6th at 2:15pm when they host the Ryerson Rams at the Seymour-Hannah Centre.
