
WATERLOO, ON - The Brock University baseball split their doubleheader with the Laurier Golden Hawks Friday afternoon as they won Game One by the score of 9-2 and dropped Game Two 7-3.
In Game One,
Alex Nolan (Burlington, ON) went the distance allowing two runs on five hits over nine innings of work while striking out seven for the victory.
At the plate,
Jaiden Hill (Whitby, ON) sparked the Badgers offense going 3-for-5 with two doubles and a career-high five RBI.
Dennon Koziol (Hamilton, ON) went 3-for-5 with two doubles three RBI whileÂ
Matthew Legg (Vancouver, BC) continued to swing a hot bat going 3-for-4.
Laurier was led by Jeff Hunt and Robert Cant who both went 2-for-3.
In Game Two, the Badgers led 2-1 early on before making some costly defensive miscues which the Golden Hawks capitalized on.
Jeff Baggaley (Whitby, ON) suffered the loss allowing four runs (two earned) on seven hits while striking out three and walking three.
At the plate
Dawson Veeneman (Delta, BC) went 1-for-2 with two RBI. Koziol, Hill,
Tyler Nakamura (Concord, ON) and
Noah Koffman (Richmond Hill, ON) all added single hits in the loss.
The Badgers host the Ryerson Rams Saturday afternoon at George Taylor Field. Game times are scheduled for 12 and 3:30pm.
