ST. CATHARINES, ON - The Brock University men's hockey team dropped a 4-3 decision to the Western Mustangs Saturday afternoon at the Meridian Centre.
Brock opened the scoring 6:39 into the opening period on the power play asÂ

The Mustangs tied it up midway through the first as they answered with the man advantage on a goal from Rylan Bechtel. Western would take a 2-1 lead just 26 seconds later as Mitchell Brooks beat Brock starter
Clint Windsor (Hamilton, ON).
Windsor left the game at the end of one period with a groin injury and was replaced by rookie
Adam Beukeboom (Sundre, AB) who was making his OUA debut.Â
Western would go up 3-1 just 3:10 into the second period as Connor Chartier and Austin Adam setup Luke Karaim for his first. Â
At the 6:29 mark of the second, Brock would cut the Western lead to one goal as
Adam Lloyd (Orleans, ON) beat Mustangs starter Greg Dodds with
Skylar Pacheco (Kitimat, BC) adding the assist.
With another man advantage, Brock tied the game 3-3 at 11:05 of the second period as
Josh Timpano (Orillia, ON) and Corbett found
Brody Silk (Iroquois Falls, ON) for his first goal of the campaign.
With four minutes remaining in the second period, the Mustangs would add another power play marker to take a 4-3 lead. Robert Polesello added his first goal with Jonathan Laser and Matt Marantz adding helpers.
Western's Dodds recorded 29 saves for the victory. Windsor collected 13 saves while Beukeboom added 19 saves in his OUA debut.
