Box Score The Brock University women's basketball team captured their first victory of the OUA regular season against the University of Toronto Varsity Blues on Saturday night at Bob Davis Gymnasium.

After a slow start to the game for both teams, the Badgers were able to match the Varsity Blues stride for stride in the opening half, leading to a 25-25 game after two quarters of action.

The Badgers found their stride to start the third quarter, establishing a lead that they never relinquished on route to the 67-49 victory.

Brock was led by Melissa Tatti (Ancaster, ON) who finished with 13 points, six assists and seven steals, playing in all 40 minutes of the game. Kira Cornelissen (Aylmer, ON) registered the double-double finishing with 12 points and 16 rebounds in just 22 minutes.

Brock also saw a strong debut performance from Bridget Atkinson who finished the game with 13 points, four assists and four steals.

The Varsity Blues were led by Keyira Parkes who finished the game with 10 points, including eight of her team's 12 points in the 4th quarter. Alanna Garner also had a strong game, contributing seven points and 14 rebounds.

The Badgers' next action comes on November 16th when they go on the road to face the McMaster Marauders (2-0 OUA).
