HAMILTON, ON - The Brock University women's basketball team dropped an 86-51 decision to the No. 2 ranked McMaster Marauders Wednesday night at the Burridge Gymnasium.
Kira Cornelissen (Aylmer, ON) led the Badgers offense finishing with 17 points and nine rebounds.
Alex Symonds (Fonthill, ON) contributed with 12 points and six rebounds while
Bridget Atkinson (Welland, ON) added eight points, five assists and four rebounds.
Leading the Marauders was Linnaea Harper who led all scorers with 26 points and eight boards, including 6-for-8 from beyond the arc. Also in double digits were Rachael Holmes, Clare Kenney and Danielle Boiago who added 15, 14 and 12 points respectively.
Brock shot 32.8% from the field going 22-for-67 and struggled from three-point land 0.0% (0-for-5) and from the charity stripe 50.0% (7-for-14).
McMaster went 32-for-69 (46.4%) from the floor, 10-for-20 (50.0%) from long range and 12-for-12 (100.0%) from the free throw line.
The Badgers next action is Saturday, November 19 at 1pm when they host the Guelph Gryphons at the Bob Davis Gymnasium.
