ST. CATHARINES, ON - The Brock University men's hockey fell to the Waterloo Warriors by the score of 6-1 Saturday night at the Seymour-Hannah Centre.
Sam Caldwell and Cam Wind opened the scoring for the Warriors, quickly putting Waterloo up 2-0.
Brock answered back with a power play goal scored by
Brody Silk, his fifth of the season, assisted by
Braden Pears and
Jeff Corbett, to make the game 2-1.
Just 15 seconds later, Waterloo answered back with a goal from Nick Halagian. The wheels really came off in the second as Waterloo managed to put up three more unanswered goals with one by Eric Cimino and two late in the period by Stephen Silas to make it 6-1, Waterloo.
That marked the end of the day for Brock starter
Adam Beukeboom as
Alex Brooks-Potts came out for the third period. Brooks-Potts made 13 saves on 13 shots to shut out Waterloo in the third, unfortunately Brock was held to that lone goal in the loss.
Brock loses their fifth straight to fall to 7-7-1 on the season as Waterloo improves to 4-7-3. The Badgers will return to action at home on December 2nd, as they take on the 7-7-2 Laurier Golden Hawks.
