Box Score ST. CATHARINES, ON - The Brock University women's hockey team blanked the UOIT Ridgebacks by the score of 5-0 Saturday afternoon at the Seymour-Hannah Centre.

After scoring two goals Friday night. Brock's Cara Sayles (Welland, ON) led the Badgers registering a career-high four points, including the natural hat trick. Linemates Christina Ieradi (Maple, ON) (1G, 3A) and rookie Annie Berg (Beamsville, ON) (3A) also had strong games for the Badgers.

In the first eight games, the trio of Sayles, Ieradi and Berg have combined for 65% of the team's offense adding 12 goals and 18 helpers.

Adding a single goal, which proved to be the game-winner, was Jazz Kennedy (Oakville, ON) with assists to Kaitlyn Colonna (Mississauga, ON) and Kimberly Brown (Toronto, ON).

In goal, Brock rookie Julia Pettella (King City, ON) recorded 23 saves for the shutout in her OUA debut.

The Badgers are now on the road for three straight games against Western (Nov. 13), Nipissing (Nov. 19) and Laurentian (Nov. 20). Their next home action is November 26th at 2:15 pm versus the Laurier Golden Hawks at the Seymour-Hannah Centre.
